Steve Teasdale
Born in County Durham in 1965, from an early age Steve was interested in all things related to history and military aviation, spending many hours making model aeroplane kits and suspending them from his bedroom ceiling in dogfight scenarios! He sold his first original drawing when he was just 12 years old and regularly supplemented his student income with portrait commissions whilst gaining a Batchelor of Arts with Honours degree from Stourbridge College of Technology and Art.
After working as a glass designer, Steve embarked on a career teaching Art and Design Technology whilst continuing his passion for historical portraits and establishing many friendships with WWII veterans including Battle of Britain pilots and aircrew. These two affections are perfectly combined in many of his portraits and drawings. His work attracts collectors from around the globe including South Africa, Germany, Canada, the USA and the UK where his work is regularly exhibited at many leading airshows and military gatherings.
