An original aviation painting by Michael Rondot, depicting a British Airways Boeing 767-300 beginning its take-off roll on a rain-soaked runway, with a Boeing 757 waiting in the background.

Rondot captures the aircraft immediately after a passing storm, combining reflections across the wet tarmac with the heavy, dark sky beyond. It is a particularly characteristic example of the artist’s ability to portray aircraft in the challenging weather conditions familiar from his own extensive flying career.

The 767 became an important and highly versatile part of the British Airways fleet, operating both short- and long-haul routes, while its close association with the Boeing 757 is reflected by the second aircraft incorporated into the composition.

The image was subsequently published as Rondot’s limited-edition print 767, making this original painting the source artwork for an established published release.
