BATTLE OF BRITAIN TURNAROUND - Oil on Board

Inspired by an historical wartime photograph, this painting honours the unseen, grueling backbone of the Royal Air Force’s defense during the fateful summer of 1940. While history frequently spotlights the pilots who fought overhead, this composition shifts its gaze downward, centering on the tireless efforts of "The Many"—the ground crews whose rapid, exhausting labour kept Britain’s fighter squadrons airborne.

Rendered with bold, impressionistic brushwork and a luminous palette, the painting balances industrial machinery with human urgency.
