COUP DE GRACE - Framed Collectors Piece and Book
by Anthony Saunders
The fifth aircraft to attack the Möhne dam on the night of 16 / 17 May 1943, Flt.Lt. David Maltby powers Lancaster AJ-J away from the target as his Upkeep mine successfully detonates against the already damaged dam wall. Within seconds the dam will rupture releasing a terrifying wall of water flooding into the valley below.
It's easy to see why this highly-restricted edition sold out almost immediately on release! The FORTY TWO signature portfolio includes a copy of the print COUP DE GRÂCE by Anthony Saunders accompanied by a matching-numbered commemorative book titled THE DAMBUSTERS, presented in its own luxury embossed slipcase.
The special book includes a plethora of original signatures from veterans who flew with RAF Bomber Command during WWII including eight directly involved in the Dambuster raids.
Already signed by a veteran of the raid, our expert team have framed this copy of COUP DE GRÂCE to also include the autograph of the Command in Chief for Bomber Command at the time of the raids:
- Squadron Leader George Johnson MBE DFM
- Marshal of the RAF Sir Arthur T. Harris BT, GCB OBE DD
