DAME VERA LYNN - PORTRAIT
by Will Seymour
Will Seymour has created a truly captivating portrait of Vera Lynn, set above an evocative scene inspired by the street celebrations of Victory in Europe Day, 1945. Vera was a beloved singer whose voice became a symbol of hope during the Second World War. Affectionately known as the “Forces’ Sweetheart”, she travelled to Egypt, India and Burma to perform for the troops as part of the Entertainments National Service Association.
