DUTY OF THE DAY - Legacy Remarque Edition
by Robert Taylor & Richard Taylor
With D-Day and the invasion of Europe drawing ever closer, Mosquito crews from 487 Squadron RNZAF, part of the RAF’s 2nd Tactical Air Force, prepare to depart from their base at Hunsdon on a raid to assist in the degradation of German military infrastructure prior to the Allied landings.
Designed by Geoffrey de Havilland and built almost entirely of wood, the Mosquito was one of the fastest, and probably the most versatile, aircraft of World War II. In tribute to this legendary aircraft, Robert’s detailed painting has been faithfully reproduced as a Limited Edition print which has been personally signed and authenticated by veterans who flew the ‘wooden wonder’ in combat during the war.
Available in two different Legacy Remarque sizes...
Due to popular demand, we’re delighted to offer ground-breaking Legacy Remarques on this release. Robert’s talented son, Richard Taylor, will create a specially hand-drawn Remarque in the lower border of the print.
These are available to be ordered in two sizes – ‘Quad’ (4 Remarques) and ‘Deluxe’ (7-8 Remarques).
Each Legacy Remarque has been signed by both Robert Taylor and Richard Taylor, and carries the original autographs of three highly-regarded veterans who flew Mosquitos during WWII:
- Flight Lieutenant Des Curtis DFC
- Flight Lieutenant John Trotman DFC*
- Flying Officer Jack Youens
