PEGASUS BRIDGE - AIRBORNE STORM

Led by Major John Howard, men of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry storm their way across Pegasus Bridge, just after midnight on the morning of 6 June 1944. In capturing the bridge, it prevented German armour from crossing the bridge to attack the eastern flank of the landings at Sword Beach.
