TYPHOON - Original Oil on Canvas

This original painting by Frank Wootton represents an important stage in the creation of one of his most recognised depictions of the Eurofighter Typhoon.

Painted as the working original for the artwork commissioned to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Typhoon entering RAF service, this painting was subsequently developed into the final image that was reproduced as a print and has since become an iconic representation of the aircraft.

For collectors, this is an opportunity to own the original artwork from which the published edition was developed, rather than the finished print itself. It offers a fascinating insight into Wootton’s working process and the development of a significant aviation image, by one of the godfathers of the genre!

Painted circa 1990

Overall framed dimensions: 29" x 23"
