The sinister looking Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk captured the imagination with amazing TV images filmed during attacks on Baghdad in the opening nights of Gulf War I.

Developed using "Have Blue" technology during the late 1970s and early 1980s at the secretive Lockheed "Skunk Works", the F-117 Nighthawk was in service with the USAF for 7 years before it was revealed to the public in 1990. A year later it was in action during operation DESERT STORM and caused a sensation with images of precision bombing attacks shown on television screens and front pages of newspapers around the world.

Night after night over downtown Baghdad, the theory of a strike aircraft designed to avoid radar detection and fly directly into intense anti-aircraft defenses was tested by brave pilots over Iraq. The results, together with the aircraft and its pilots are now legendary.

Each print in this edition has been signed by not only the artist but also TWENTY-FOUR "Bandit" pilots.
