SO FEW & SO MANY COLLECTOR'S PORTFOLIO
With over FIFTY original autographs, this monumental Collector's Portfolio commemorates the RAF during WW2, including specially commissioned artwork!
So Few - A folio dedicated to all who flew in combat during the Battle of Britain, July – October 1940
So Many - A folio dedicated to all who served with RAF Bomber Command during WWII, 1939 – 1945
Published in 1990 & 1995 respectively, these first edition hardbacks are both numbered 182 of just 401 copies ever produced.
No. 1 was presented to Her Majesty The Queen and No. 401 to The Queen Mother.
Issued in lavish presentation boxes and bound in original Chieftain goatskins dyed the exact shade of RAF wool-barathea wartime uniform fabric. The gold-tipped pages are filled with photographs, profile silhouettes, personal reminiscences and biographies of some of the most prominent pilots and aircrew to serve with the RAF during the Second World War.
These superbly produced books are printed on thick paper, with each portrait accompanied by a biography of the subject, together with photographs of memorabilia and facsimiles of letters.
But that’s not all…
To create a completely unique and one of a kind set, we’ve commissioned two original pencil drawings by world renowned aviation artist Richard Taylor!
Air Chief Marshal HUGH DOWDING - Air Officer Commanding RAF Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain
Marshal of the RAF Sir ARTHUR HARRIS - Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief for RAF Bomber Command during WW2
Each drawing is conservation matted to include their original autographs, with the overall mount designed specifically to fit perfectly inside the Collector's presentation box which accompanies each volume.
A lavish and worthy tribute to the RAF’s airmen of World War Two - Only ONE set available!
