TAKING CHARGE - Framed Collector's Piece
by K. Sean Sullivan
13 January, 1945: Nearly a month after the Battle of the Bulge began, Easy Company are back on the offensive. Captain Dick Winters commands Lieutenant Ron Speirs to relieve the commanding officer mid-combat at the Belgian village of Foy.
Earlier, a shaky officer had stopped the attack prematurely, causing Captain Dick Winters to send in Speirs to take charge. Having rallied the men, Speirs now leads the final E-Company assault. At Foy and in the days to follow, the Allied breakout would prove unstoppable, and the Battle of the Bulge would end in victory.
This stunning print has been personally signed by THREE Battle of the Bulge Veterans, with a further FOUR original autographs matted in. Richard ‘Dick’ Winters and Ronald Speirs are two of the rarest, of which we've never before included together in a single piece!
Additionally, matted in is a reproduction 101st Airborne badge along with a 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment embroidered badge and an original bullet casing from the battle.
Furthermore, this piece has been framed to full conservation standards using UV99 Artglass by our expert in-house team.
