THE PEACEMAKERS
Framed Collectors Piece by John D. Shaw
Three months after the war in Europe had finally come to an end, news from the Pacific was less positive as Japan refused to surrender. A massive Allied invasion seemed inevitable. President Truman faced a tough choice - risk continued loss of life through the invasion, or utilize the atom bomb to ultimately save more lives. He chose the latter in a maximum effort to bring a final end to WWII.
