Codenamed Operation Chastise, the task required exceptional flying skills and a specially designed ‘bouncing bomb’, but if the dams could be destroyed it would deal a massive blow to the Nazi war machine.​

BREACHING THE MÖHNE

Gerald uses his undeniable skills to recreate the attack on the Möhne Dam as Mick Martin's Lancaster pulls away, his 'Upkeep' bomb exploding behind him sending a huge plume of water into the air. Guy Gibson flies to his right drawing flak from the anti-aircraft guns on the towers.

Originally published over 15 years ago, prints in this famous edition are signed by at least FOUR highly-regarded Dambuster aircrew.
