On 18 April 1942, a small force of sixteen B-25 Mitchell bombers, under the leadership of Lt Col 'Jimmy' Doolittle, set forth on one of the most courageous air raids of WWII...
In response to the unprovoked attack on Pearl Harbor four months earlier their mission was a direct strike at the heart of Imperial Japan. Launching from the heaving deck of the USS Hornet, the heroic crews knew that it was a one way mission. Without enough fuel to return they would have to bail out and rely on the Chinese Resistance to help them return.

The release is signed by up to THIRTEEN Doolittle Raiders and the Commemorative Proofs are issued with the signed, matching-numbered companion print ‘The Day Now Dawns’.
