As we approach the 80th anniversary of VE Day, 8th May 1945, we’re proud to offer four new Limited Edition prints by one of the world’s leading aviation artists, Anthony Saunders. Each title glows with authenticity and reminds us of the bitter struggles faced by Allied aircrews throughout the six long years of World War Two.

80 Limited Edition prints of each title are now available…

Each painting has been faithfully reproduced as a Limited Edition print and is issued hand numbered and personally signed by artist Anthony Saunders. Only 80 of each title are available in this special 80th anniversary year.

Each Limited Edition Print: £60 / $75

All four titles are available individually or as part of a matching set – while stocks allow we’re able to supply two, three, or even all four titles as matching-numbers!

ENDLESS SUMMER

Having successfully intercepted raiders aiming to attack naval facilities at Portsmouth, Squadron Leader Sandy Johnstone leads the Spitfires of 602 Squadron low across Chichester harbour as they head back to their base at RAF Westhampnett, summer 1940.

ESCAPE FROM NUREMBERG

A pair of badly shot-up Lancasters from 97 Squadron battle their way back to base across the North Sea, their weary crews thankful to have survived a raid on Nuremberg which turned out to be Bomber Command’s heaviest loss in a single night, 30 / 31 March 1944.

BIG FRIENDS IN TROUBLE

Severely damaged and struggling to maintain height, B17 Hard Luck II manages to cross the safety of the Essex coast after a harrowing journey home. Luckily, a P-47 was on hand to provide a miraculous escort across the North Sea.

ESCORT TO THE REICH

Providing top cover escort, P-51 ‘Miss Helen’ peels away across the high squadron of Fortresses of the 384th Bomb Group, part of a large force en-route to attack enemy railway marshalling yards during the final weeks of the war, 17 April 1945.
