North of Berlin on the Baltic coast at Peenemunde lay the secret experimental base for one of Hitler’s most dangerous secret weapons – the V-2 rocket. On the night of 17 August 1943, in one of the most successful raids of the war, Bomber Command made the perilous journey over enemy territory and managed to successfully flatten their target.
This memorable print was signed at the time of release in 1991 by five of the most highly-regarded Lancaster aircrew to fly with Bomber Command during WWII, of which three received the Victoria Cross. These famous names include ROD LEAROYD and NORMAN JACKSON.
Making this superb piece completely unique is the addition of a stunning Deluxe Remarque by Richard Taylor in the lower margin!

LANCASTER UNDER ATTACK

In the night skies over Osterfeld in December 1944, a Lancaster from 626 Squadron is forced to take evasive action as a Bf110 G-4 night-fighter makes a close pass beneath.
Remembering the duels that took place in the night skies over Europe during WWII, Robert's detailed piece is mounted to include the original autographs of both RAF Lancaster crews and Luftwaffe Me110 night-fighter veterans. The famous names include BILL REID, NORMAN SCRIVENER, MARTIN DREWES and PAUL ZORNER.
