HOLD HER STEADY
Original Pencil Drawing in Vol IV Book
In the history of air warfare few missions come close in terms of courage and the highest skills of precision flying to the one carried out by 617 Squadron on the night of 16/17 May 1943. Robert's detailed piece captures the moment during Operation Chastise that Barnes Wallis' radical new 'bouncing bomb' is sent spinning towards the dam wall. In a few moments a huge explosion will erupt up in to the night sky as the hydrostatic bomb detonates against the mighty granite walls.
We rarely come across copies of Robert's Air Combat Paintings Volume IV book, so to make it completely unique we returned it to his studio to handcraft this superb drawing.

THE CONDOR LEGION
Framed Original Pencil Drawing
Prior to the outbreak of WWII, Adolf Galland flew with the Cóndor Legion in Spain and, flying ageing Heinkel He-51 bi-planes, logged more than 300 missions during a ten-month stint. His command of the Legion’s third fighter squadron was the next step in his illustrious flying career that later saw him become the youngest General in the entire German armed forces.
In his unmistakable graphic style, Robert depicts Galland on one such sortie as his unit head out for another support mission.
