THE LAST WAVE - New Release by Chris French
Announcing the launch of a NEW Limited Edition print ahead of the upcoming event - commemorating the 80th anniversary of Operation Jericho : 1944 – 2024
In one of the most daring low-level operations of the war, Flight Lieutenant Tom McPhee keeps tight formation behind Squadron Leader Ian McRitchie as their two Mosquito FB Mk.VIs of 464 Squadron RAAF deliver the last of four bombing runs on the prison at Amiens, Northern France, shortly after midday on 18 February 1944.
Using the formidable skills acquired over 30 years as one of the country’s highly-respected aviation artists, Chris French gives us a dramatic navigator’s view as the final pair of Mosquitos race towards the snow-clad target.
Only 80 copies are available to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Operation Jericho!
Faithfully reproduced as a fine art limited edition, there are just 80 prints available to commemorate the 80th anniversary of this famous raid. Each copy is personally signed by artist Chris French, hand numbered and issued with a matching Certificate of Authenticity.
Join us for the print signing!
Chris will be signing the edition at our upcoming FREE event on Sunday 18 February in Steventon . If you can't attend but would still like a copy personalised by Chris then just let us know.
This will be an ideal opportunity to have your copy additionally signed by veterans who actually flew the 'Wooden Wonder'...
Our special guests include Flight Lieutenant DES CURTIS (Navigator) and Flight Lieutenant GEORGE DUNN (Pilot)
