FLIGHT OF EAGLES - Original Pencil Drawing
by Robert Taylor
An original pencil working drawing by Robert Taylor, created in connection with his celebrated Flight of Eagles composition and depicting a formation of Messerschmitt Bf 109s in flight.
The finished Flight of Eagles image portrays Adolf Galland leading fighters of his famous JG 26 ‘Schlageter’ Wing over the Pas de Calais in 1941, and became one of Taylor’s early Luftwaffe aviation releases.
This original drawing has been conservation framed together with an exceptional collection of TWELVE original autographs from prominent Luftwaffe fighter pilots, many of whom were among Germany’s most highly decorated and experienced airmen. Protected by UV99' ArtGlass.
The combination of an original Robert Taylor developmental drawing with such an extensive group of veteran signatures makes this a particularly substantial collector’s piece dedicated to the Luftwaffe fighter arm.
