With engineers attending to his Mk.IX Spitfire, Wing Commander James E ‘Johnny’ Johnson takes a moment of respite whilst his faithful Labrador ‘Sally’ stands by with members of 144 Canadian Wing at Bazenville Landing Ground, Normandy, July 1944. 

Keith’s captivating new original painting transports us to Bazenville in his trademark style filled with atmospheric grittiness, in a way only he can, commemorating the RAF’s top scoring pilot flying in northwest Europe, who earned 34 victories across 515 operational sorties.
