PHANTOM SCRAMBLE

Few aviation artists come close to Richard’s extraordinary skill with pencil and paint which is why his drawings are highly prized. This stunning collector’s pieces once again emphasises the commanding heights which Richard has achieved and we’re sure it won’t be around for long.
One of the principal RAF combat aircraft from the 1960s – 1990s the McDonnell Douglas Phantom was deployed in several roles including close air support, low-level strike, air defence and tactical reconnaissance. Richard’s detailed drawing combines a mixture of graphite with colour highlights on antique effect buff paper and is personally signed by three veterans who flew Phantoms in combat:
