The only bomber aircraft to fly throughout the war, the incredible Barnes Wallis Wellington - nicknamed 'the Wimpy' bore the brunt of Bomber Command's operations in the early part of the war.

This rugged aircraft is suberbly portrayed by Robert Taylor in this rare print originally published in 1980. On their way to Berlin as part of the large-scale raids in 1943, Wellingtons on 425 Squadron are seen flying in close formation.

Each print is individually signed by the artist and the outstanding wartime pilot:

  • Flight Lieutenant Bill Townsend CGM DFM
