BATTLE OF BRITAIN VC
by Robert Taylor
This incredibly rare piece depicts James Nicolson winning his Victoria Cross on 16 August 1940 during the height of the Battle of Britain.
Nicholson was the only WWII pilot of the Battle of Britain, and in fact the entire RAF Fighter Command, to receive the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy.
This lasting tribute to one of the RAF’s great fighter pilots is highly sought after on the secondary market.
