Seeing the vulnerability of their friends, a Mosquito crew expose themselves to the same dangers, and throttle back to stay alongside the injured warbird. Dawn has broken, the visibility is unlimited. They have yet to make that Channel crossing and enemy fighters are in the area. The crew of the Lancaster struggle to maintain flying speed and enough height to bring their large four-engined aircraft home. Perhaps tonight they will all drink and laugh in the local pub - perhaps!
Released in 1989 and personally signed at the time by SEVEN highly-regarded veterans, this long sold out title has been made even more special with the completely unique addition of a stunning Deluxe Remarque by Richard Taylor in the lower margin!
What exactly is a Legacy Remarques?
Such has been the demand for Robert’s work over the years that there remain a limited number of prints allocated for Remarque editions that are still awaiting completion. Robert, along with his exclusive publisher the Military Gallery, have released a very limited number of prints to be re-purposed as LEGACY REMARQUES with the original drawing completed not by Robert but by his talented son Richard. To avoid any confusion, Richard will personally sign each Legacy Remarque that he completes, and the edition will be clearly identified and numbered as a ‘Legacy Remarque’.

This Legacy Remarque print is signed by a complete Lancaster Crew with a combined 420 operational missions and a host of decorations, including the Victoria Cross, between them:
